SpeakerFilters are pleased to announce a new addition to the range of available filters.
From Cambridge company Mission, the 78cse Aerogel centre speaker contributes to an Exakt surround sound system, in a 3-way configuration (mid-bass, outer tweeters, centre tweeter).
We're very pleased to add this speaker to the SpeakerFilters portfolio, bringing the opportunity to apply Linn Exakt advantages to those who want to get the best out of their Mission 78x series speakers in a surround sound system. The filters are available to 78cse Aerogel users "off the shelf" right now. We can also make the physical changes to the speaker, if required.
Other filters available in the Mission 78x series include 783 Aerogel, 782 Aerogel, 781 Aerogel and 780 Aerogel offering a wide range of combinations from which a surround system can be configured.
For
those of you without Exakt, but with a Linn DS or DSM streamer, the
work completed by SpeakerFilters allows you to enjoy the benefits of
SPACE Optimisation with the 78cse Aerogel in its passive form.

Please
note that early versions of this speaker (the 78c) were fitted with Keraform
mid-bass drivers which suffered from ferrofluid leakage and subsequent
failure. The SpeakerFilters Exakt filters are designed using the later
Aerogel mid-bass driver which is reliable and is said to sonically
outperform the original driver. The Keraform driver is a pale dull
grey, the Aerogel is glossy mid blue in appearance.
